May 4 29th Show & Shine Street Rod Show

Riverside Park
The annual Show & Shine Street Rod Show, sponsored by the Ypsilanti Area Street Rods, will rumble into Riverside Park. Roaring mufflers and classic tunes will rock Depot Town all day long.

There is lots of work to be done. The NPNA will be needing help at Recreation Park and Edith Hefley.

May 26 Memorial Day Parade
Monday
9:00 am
Memorial Day Parade continues the time-honored tradition of honoring America's Fallen. Join us as we remember those who gave so much for us and our country. The processional begins at 9:00 am, and is sponsored by the American Legion Post 282.

June 1 Orphan Car Show

Orphan Car Show
Orphan vehicles are makes of cars, trucks, motorcycles no longer manufactured. A large percentage have been out of business over fifty years.
The show features a "pass-in-review' by make or group, with several automotive historians describing the vehicles as they pass by.
The show has gained national recognition, appearing on national TV several times, written up in the New York Times twice, and has been featured in AUTOWEEK magazine, Cars & Parts, Old Cars Weekly, US Auto Scene, and Hemmings Motor News.
The Walter P. Chrysler Museum, located on DaimlerChrysler Headquarters campus, has been the show sponsor for 9 of its 11 years.

June 7 Normal Park Neighborhood Yard Sale

Normal Park Neighborhood

Every year the first Saturday of June in Normal Park means yard sale. It is the main fundraising event for the Normal Park Neighborhood Association.
Use this opportunity to get rid of a lot of cool stuff you no longer need or find that perfect item you have been longing for.
An $10.00 registration fee will pay for our ad in the newspaper, signs in the neighborhood, your home included on a neighborhood map with descriptions of your items for sale and help support the NPNA. See the Yard Sale page for more information. 


June 8 Michigan Vintage Volkswagen Festival

Riverside Park
The Michigan Vintage Volkswagen Club’s 21th Annual Vintage Volkswagen Festival Featuring the VW Beetle, "What year is it"Highlighting the changes in the Beetle from 1949 thru 1978. This Festival is only for air cooled VW's.
Festival Fees: Adults $3.00--Children Under 12 Free.

July 4 Independence Day Parade

The Ypsilanti Fourth of July Parade is one of Michiganıs oldest and most prestigious celebrations of our nationıs Independence. This family-friendly event showcases our community, the state of Michigan, and the patriotic pride of America.
The Parade begins at 11:00 am and starts at Wallace and goes down Cross Street to end in Depot Town at Rice Street
